the oppurtunity to join us at the event. A shedule of events is enclosed in
this issue. There are many events going on this year at the Festival and
it should be a good time for all of you, your friends and family. Please join us!
The King and Queen of Round Lake Heights “Mardi Gras”
Festival will be two of our very own residents. I would like to take this
oppurtunity to congratulate Jonathon Faulkner as this year’s King of the
Festival and Courtney Bradac as this year’s Queen of the Festival.
Jonathon is 4 years old and resides in the Fox Glen Subdivision. Courtney
is 3 years old and resides in the Indian Hill Subdivision. Congratulations
kids and we look forward to having you as our honored guests in this years
parade. I would also like to thank all of our participants in the contest and
I which you luck next year.
On another note I would like to welcome a new employee to the
Village. Patti Floyd has recently been hired for a Part Time position at
the Village Hall. Patti previously worked at A-Tire and brings great
knowledge to the village. With only a few weeks to the job she has
proven herself a valuable asset to the village already. Please remember
that we are still in the training process and there is a lot for her to learn so please be patient. Please join me in welcoming Patti to the Village.
I will see you at the Festival! If I can be of any assistance or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 546-1206 Ext. 302.
Sincerely, Terry Lumpkins, Mayor

To answer questions posted on the Round Lake Heights Directory from Mayor Terrance Lumpkins:
Is the Village going to be proactive for once this year in regards to mosquitos?
We have a contract with Clarke Mosquito Management Inc. for Environmental Mosquito Management Program. Part of the program includes 6 community wide treatments along with a treatment of 120 catch basins, inlets, and manholes.
I know of a lot of crafters in RLH and was wondering if we could have a craft show?
This year we have our 12th Annual Festival on July 23, 2004 from 6:00pm-12:00am and July 24, 2004 from 12:00pm-12:00am all crafters are welcomed to participate, please contact the Village Hall prior to the Festival.
If the Village of Lake Villa doesn’t want to link to our road (Arapahoe Trail) -we should restrict construction traffic. They are always driving up and down the street.
If you see them driving through please contact the Police Department, they are not allowed to drive back their.
