All new residents are required to put a $100 water deposit for houses, and a $200 water deposit for apartments, A Certificate of Occupancy is required by the Village when selling a home or changing tenants. There is a $75.00 fee for this inspection.

Call J.U.L.I.E. BEFORE YOU DIG! It is very important that you call J.U.L.I.E. at 811 at least two working days before you break ground on your property in order to check for the placement of utility and telecommunication lines underneath your lawn.

Garbage/Recycling
Jensen Disposal observes the following Holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, & New Years.

Leaf pickup runs on Mondays from October 13th through November 17th. NO BRUSH, BARK OR ANY FOREIGN OBJECTS CAN BE RAKED IN WITH THE LEAVES. PLEASE RAKE ALL LEAVES AS CLOSE TO THE ROAD EDGE AS POSSIBLE.

Yardwaste stickers are available at the Village Hall. They are $1.38 a piece. Each sticker is good for 1 can, 1 bag, or 1 bundle. Please remember they must be under 50 lbs or 32 gallons.

Mosquito Control
The Village of Round Lake Heights has a contract with Clarke Mosquito Control to regularly spray for mosquitos. The Village contracts with Clarke for spraying the wetlands for mosquito larvae control as well as several "adult" sprayings. These “adult” sprayings generally happen at night, throughout the entire village. We work together with the sorrounding Round Lake Villages for maximum effectiveness. Mosquitoes are most prevalent at dawn, dusk and early evening. If you must be outdoors during these times, wear long-sleeved clothing and pants. Use insect repellent sparingly. Residents' Responsibilities: Each homeowner should locate and eliminate potential breeding sites by emptying standing water from children's pools, gutters, recycling bins and other artificial containers. Notify Clarke of stagnant water sites in the area by calling the Clarke Mosquito Hotline at 800-942-2555.
