Water and Sewer Services

All new residents are required to put a $100 water deposit for houses, and a $200 water deposit for apartments, A Certificate of Occupancy is required by the Village when selling a home or changing tenants. There is a $75.00 fee for this inspection.

Payment Options for Water & Sewer Services
- Payments can be made electronically with credit cards,
  over the Internet through E-Pay. Click Here
- Payments can be made by mail
- Payments are accepted at the Village Hall during regular hours
- Payments are accepted at the Village Hall, after regular hours, by using the night deposit box
   located outside on the left side of the Village Hall entrance. These payments will be posted
   the following business day. .

Monthly Billing Information for Water and Sewer Services
Customers are billed for water and sewer every month. Bills go out on the 1st of the month and are due on the 15th. There is a 10% late charge for anything received after the 15th. After 60 days of no payment, a pink shut off notice will be delivered. If payment in full is not received by the shut off date, service will be disconnected. There is a $50.00 re-connection fee.
- Lake Michigan water: $6.25 per 1,000 gallons
- Lake County sewage treatment: $3.51 per 1,000 gallons (based on consumption)
- Sewer Improvement: $10.00 per month
- There shall be a minimum billing of $10.00 every month

Hydrant Flushing
The Village regularly flushes our fire hydrants to reduce sediments and other solids that collect in our water mains, thereby allowing us to provide our residents with cleaner water to your homes and businesses. The Round Lake Heights Public Works Department normally flushes fire hydrants in the Fall. Please watch for signs notifying residents that the hydrants are scheduled to be flushed. We recommend not washing laundry while hydrants are being flushed because the flushed water may discolor the clothing.
